i am slowing crossing off items on my list. very, very slowly. i shouldn't even be blogging right now, but i needed the break and i want to make sure that during all this chaos, i don't stop bloggin'.

i haven't had a lot of time to blog surf and leave comments which makes me a lil sad. i love the inspiration everyone gives me.

hmmm...did anything exciting happen today that i could report.

OH WHATTA DAY!!!

this a.m. around 6:30.

oh today has been the busiest day in quite some time. at work i was busy the better part of the day working on an inventory. the only bad thing about this inventory is that a good bit of the information is probably wrong, so i have to try and track it down....grrrr!!!

then i realized that christmas is next weekend, not in two weekends like i thought. so i have one more day till i have to have all of my outta town packages ready to go out in the mail.

i still haven't completed my christmas cards (currently working on that..well, not currently since i am bloggin' ;)

i have been crafting with paper since i got home at 4:15 this afternoon. i am TIRED!!!

and i keep thinking of other things to do.

such as:

*finish christmas cards

*mail out two packages that i sold off of good morning sunshine.

*pick up stamps and mail out christmas cards.

*finish out of towners presents.

*mail them out.

*make crafty gifts for the locals ;)

*bake biscotti

*fill out christmas cards for coworkers (these are not handmade).

*cut out mikey's school pictures and put in with christmas cards before i mail them.

*hope i get bella's school pictures tomorrow so i can include those and not have to waste more stamps.

*keep checking my bank account so i can verify my paypal acct. (this is so stupid. and of course this is so i can accept credit card payments...didn't know it until i received one).

*start wrapping presents.

*get ready for our new orleans trip this weekend.

*get melissa her bday present.

i guess that's it for now. looking at this list i feel so overwhelmed. and this isn't even a detailed list b/c i don't want some people to see some of the things i have to do.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! ITS ALREADY BEGUN!!

earlier when we were getting ready for dinner and stuff (of course nothing to extreme due too the way me and mike are feeling) the phone rang.

i didn't recognize the number on caller id but i can't stand to just let it ring so i answered:

me: "hello?"

lil boy: "is mikey there?"

me: dumbfounded "mikey?"

lil boy: "yeah"

me: "are you calling for mikey?"

lil boy: "yeah mikey"

me: "may i ask who's calling?"

lil boy: "brandon"

me: "hold on" still dumbfound while i found mikey and gave him the phone.



is this happening???? is my six year old receiving phone calls???? i didn't know what to do. am i the type of mom that says no phone until you're older or am i the hip, cool mom that doesn't care.

i guess i'm the hip, cool mom b/c i gave him the phone :)

OUR SATURDAY!!

on saturday, mike got up and took mikey to the pd (mike got called in to fix something at work) and then to get mikey's haircut (looong overdue).

i was actually looking forward to this b/c not only did i have a ton of cleaning to do before the party we went to that night, but i was looking forward to hanging out with bella by myself.

its amazing how different (and well behaved) the kids act when they are by themselves. bella is a complete joy to be around (disclaimer: not that she isn't any other time but when her mikey are together OY VAY!!).

bella had so much fun playing with her baby (aka bear) and putting it to bed and feeding it snacks.

what a great time.



then later on in the evening, we dropped the kiddos off at my mom's and headed to pensacola for a christmas party. due to the fact that the party was an hour and a half away, we were going to be staying there overnight (which was nice, b/c then we could both drink).

we had fun and had loads of fun playing this bean bag game they had and the soprano's game later on.

we got really drunk and were really tired when we woke up this a.m. but it was worth it.

the only bad thing is i didn't get any pictures. there was someone there taking pictures so hopefully she will give the host/hostess a copy of the pics and i can get em from them.

CAROLS AT THE MALL!!!

friday, mikey's class (along with the rest of his school) sang christmas carols at one of the local malls. me, my mom, and mike were there (we also ran into my friend michele and her lil girl lauren). they were so cute. mikey looked like the mouthed the words mostly. i also noticed that mikey has a girl that seems to really like him. she kept pushing him (hard but he seemed to like it) and i really had to keep from going over there and saying something.

after the carols, the kiddos hopped back on the bus were supposed to go to the park to eat their lil sack lunches. but due to the cold weather, they headed to school and ate.

me and mom did a lil bit of shopping and grabbed some pizza. i then dropped her back off at walmart so she could drive back to work and did i some major grocery shopping. i mean so major that i had so much shit on my cart that every ten steps i took, something fell off and i had to stop and pick it up. now this wouldn't be that big of a deal if i wasn't walking in a very crowded parking lot with cars everywhere. and whats worse, is only one person asked if i needed help.

HMPH!!

i spent the night cleaning my craft area and my bedroom (they are one in the same). i have taken a tall cd cabinet (with a door) and discovered that i could fill it with mason jars and baby food jars containing goodies such as these.

whew! a postin' overload wouldn't ya say? and i have a few more left :)

thanks to the wonderful sunni i have found the perfect gift for a pair of wine lovers. we are attending a christmas/housewarming party for a co-worker and his wife this weekend and these are going to go perfect with the bottle of wine that we plan on bringing. they say "salute" (cheers in italian) and "prost" (cheers in german). she is italian, he is german (dear God please don't let him remember my blog and happen to check it between now and saturday ;)

they will be drinking wine.

A LIL BIT OF MOTHER NATURE!!!

on top of taking pictures of myself in mirrors, doors, etc., i have really been in to taking pictures of the sunrises, afternoon sun, and sun sets (if i can catch em). something about the cold weather brings out the best in the clouds.

on sunday, we finally got the house decorated for christmas. the kiddos couldn't wait to get the ornaments on the tree (and i left them all at the bottom, just where they hung them ;)

i think i have decided that i need to week out a lot of decorations i have and get some new ones. i am just not happy with some of what i have. a lot of them are purchases when they were super-dooper cheap at joann's the day after christmas and i think my taste is beginning to change.

of course i will be keeping all the sentimental decorations.

hillary has inspired to make a kitchen christmas tree this year. so i headed on over to gooseberry patch and buy these cute lil ornaments for my tree. i am quite pleased with them. i'll post a picture this weekend of my completed xmas tree.

i got these wonderful zodiac cards over the summer from ebay. i am simply in love with them. i will hang up one of each of these cards (oh, i got like three of each zodiac design card) in my new craft room.

i am very overdo in posting this (i'm sorry sunni!!).

i noticed over at sunni's she was making these fabulous fabric buttons. upon asking her how she did, she offered to send me some of the button kits. for that i am sending her some goodies (sunni they are going out in the mail tomorrow...i can't wait for you to get them).
