WHAT'S YOUR THEME SONG??

no, this isn't one of those online quizes.

this is me asking you: what's your life's theme song??

i remember an episode of ally mcbeal years and years ago when it first came on. she was walking down the street and you could hear her thoughts. she was talking about her theme song. a song that she could sing or hum that would make her feel better. a song that would remind her that life wasn't so bad.

since seeing this episode, there have been times that i have asked myself this. i would listen to the lyrics of songs and wonder "does this song fit me?", "is this my theme song?".

i would have to say that at this moment, my life's theme song is a rolling stone's song (hell yeah!).

"you can't always get what you want"

and the funny thing is, this song has been coming on the radio almost every time that i have been in the car in the past few weeks. maybe its b/c at this moment in time, this song has reminded me that i can't always get what i want. but if i try sometimes, i just might find, i get what i need.

This is mine. It's by Sara Evans, it a total country song but it fits me to a "T"~~~

Back when I was young
Couldn't wait to grow up
Get away and get out on my own
And looking back now
Ain't it funny how
I've been trying to get back home, yeah

When my low self esteem
Needs a man loving me
And I find me a perfect catch
Then I see my friends
Having wild weekends
Then I don't wanna get quite so attached
Just as soon as I get what I want
I get unsatisfied
Good is good but could be better

I keep looking, I keep looking for
I keep looking for something more
I always wonder what's on the other side
Of the number two door
I keep looking
Looking for something more

Well, the straight haired girls
They all want curls
And the brunettes wanna be blonde
It's your typical thing
You got ying you want yang
It just goes on and on
They say, hey, it's only human
To never be satisfied
Well I guess that I'm as human as the next one

Oh, I keep looking
I keep looking for
I keep looking for something more
I always wonder what's on the other side
Of the number two door
Yeah, I keep looking
Looking for something more

Just as soon as I get what I want
I get unsatisfied
Hey, good is good but could be better

I keep looking
I keep looking for
I keep looking for something more
I always wonder what's on the other side
Of the number two door
I keep looking
Looking for something more
Oh, looking for something more

I had to think about this - but came up with my perfect theme song - Little Wing (originally by Jimi Hendrix, covered by Sting and Stevie Ray Vaughn - they're all good). Since v posted the lyrics to her song, I will too

Well she’s walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that’s running round
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairy tales
That’s all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind.

When I’m sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles, she gives to me free
It’s alright she says it’s alright
Take anything you want from me, anything
Anything.

Fly on little wing,
Yeah yeah, yeah, little wing

I got my vixen gift!! It is vert sweet, thank you very much! I've displayed it on my blog. I got it on Saturday and I'd have displayed it sooner except that we had a real-live tornado in my town yesterday and my internet at home is still down. I've lived in Kansas almost 20 years and this is the third big tornado I've ever been in.

My theme song is currently Keane's "Bedshaped". I'd want to listen to that song as I die, if I have my way.

That's a great theme song! I love it, LOL. I don't really have a theme song, but I might have a "song of the day" that fits my mood or how I feel. I think music can be a great complement to one's emotions.
